How to Open the App

  1. Log in to your Jira Cloud site
  2. Click Apps in the top navigation bar
  3. Select "Time Tracking, Resource Planning & Project Management"

How to Check Your Own Permissions

Go to Settings → My Permissions. This tab shows:

  • Your assigned role (Global Admin, Member, or None)
  • Your total permission count
  • Which modules you can access
  • Which actions are restricted for your role

How Global Admin Works

Global Admin is automatically detected - not assigned inside the app. Anyone with the Jira site-level ADMINISTER permission is automatically a Global Admin.

  • To grant Global Admin: Add the user to the Jira administrator group in Jira user management
  • To revoke Global Admin: Remove the user from the Jira administrator group
  • The app detects changes automatically on the user's next action - no manual sync needed

How to Request Access

If features are greyed out or unavailable:

  1. Open Settings → My Permissions to confirm your current role
  2. If you have no role, contact your Jira Admin or app manager
  3. Ask them to assign you the Member role from Settings → RBAC → User Roles

There is no self-service role request form - access is granted by a Global Admin.
