Installation & Setup
Prerequisites
Before installing, confirm:
- You are a Jira Cloud site administrator (required to install Marketplace apps)
- Your Jira instance is Jira Cloud - this app does not support Server or Data Center
- You have access to the Atlassian Marketplace from your Jira instance
Installation Steps
- Go to marketplace.atlassian.com and search for "Dashboard Templates Charts Graphs Reports Clovity"
- On the app listing, confirm Hosting → Cloud is supported
- Click Try it free (30-day trial) or Buy now
- Select your Atlassian Cloud site when prompted
- Choose Jira as the product
- Review the permissions the app requires and click Accept to proceed
- The app installs automatically - no restart required
Verify Installation
After installation:
- Open any Jira Dashboard (or create a new one)
- Click Add gadget (pencil/edit mode)
- Search for "Custom Charts" or "Issue List" or "Dynamic Filter Controller"
- The gadgets should appear in the search results
First Admin Steps
Once installed, complete these setup tasks before rolling out to your team:

| 1. Open Admin Settings | Apps → Custom Charts → Admin | Review global defaults for export, number format, date format |
| 2. Configure export access | Admin → Customization Options | Enable or disable PNG/PDF/CSV export for all users |
| 3. Set data source rules | Admin → Data Sources | Control whether users can use Projects, Saved Filters, JQL, or Controller |
| 4. Enable/disable features | Admin → Features | Toggle Issue List, Custom Chart, Dynamic Filter Controller, and Templates on or off |
| 5. Create a test dashboard | Jira → Dashboards → Create | Add one of each gadget to verify everything works |
Jira Permissions Required for Installation
The app requests the following permissions during Marketplace install:

| read:jira-user | Display user information (assignees, reporters) in Issue List |

| storage:app | Store gadget configurations in Forge KVS |
Uninstalling
To uninstall: Go to admin.atlassian.com → Apps → Manage Apps → click the app name → Uninstall. All app-stored configurations (gadget setups, saved templates) will be permanently deleted. Jira issues and projects are unaffected.
